Honestly I already knew it was going to be a struggle even before I big chopped my hair because through watching youtube videos and hearing what those who are natural do to for maintenance I knew I would have a hard time. I have learned and am still learning about my hair especially through the seasons which helps me determine how often I need to moisturize my hair. Also the longer my hair gets the more time and work I need to have to maintain a

Mielle Organics Shampoo Review
First of all I would like to say before I go on that I am not trying to bash any hair companies because ALL products don't work for EVERYBODY no matter what company. I'm just sharing what I experienced using this product personally. So I ordered from Mielle Organics "Babassu Oil Conditioning Sulfate Free Shampoo" along with some other products that I had purchased. I never used their products before but I follow them on Instagram and seen so much positive feedback on their products especially those with "natural hair". I brought August but didn't use it until this month after I took out my twists so I conditioned my hair first to get the kinks/knots out by detangling with my fingers.
Maintained Twists For 2 months
The end of August I had gotten some twists installed and honestly I didn't like how the person did my hair because they was rushing which lead them to do a sloppy job in some areas. But despite that I was able to maintain my twists for 2 months washed it every two weeks, would oil my scalp every week and style it. It was easy to maintain in my opinion especially as a protective style for the Fall/Winter months to give your hair some rest. I like the twists better than the braids now so that's what I prefer to wear. Also I have to give credit to the youtubbers who gave directions "how to wash
your hair in twists" which helped alot such as JourneyTo WaistLength who I follow.

Struggling With Shrinkage
My natural hair journey so far is going well my only struggle right now is "SHRINKAGE"! My hair is longer than what it seems and when I want my hair to look more longer its like I have to pick it out into an afro. It's annoying sometimes because this past weekend I went to a formal and I wanted to wear a headband to go with my dress along with nice curls but my hair ended up

What Is LOC Method?
Many of ya'll hair journeyers may have heard the term "LOC Method", which I also mentioned in my last video post. It stands for L-iquid/ Leave-In, O-ils, C-ream and it benefits by locking in moisture retention. Since my hair is Low Porosity which means my hair resists moisture, so the "LOC Method" is very beneficial for my hair to keep my hair

April Update
Last Friday marked my 2 month Post BC Anniversary very happy I made it through without weaves, wigs just been wearing my hair the way it is! That's very big for me because I usually would put some added hair to mines usually but haven't since my BC. Also my hair has been growing others even notice it so I enjoy seeing the growing stages of my hair thus far. Can't wait to see how much it will grow August (that will be 6 months). I've been using Peppermint Oil mixed

My Natural Hair Loves CoWash!
I wash my hair with Non Sulfate Shampoo once a week and if you check out on the homepage "Hair Routine" I updated it for what I recently do but in between m
y shampoo wash I CoWash (washing hair with conditioner) my hair. I decided to do that because right now my hair needs a lot of moisture (Low Porosity). So I decided to CoWash to see what happens and when I first CoWashed my hair around the second week after my BC I noticed that my curl patterns started popping out. I don't use any special conditioner to Cowash my hair but I use V05 moisturizing conditioner which I also used when I use to stretch my relaxers. I did a CoWash last night OMG! my curls was feeling lovely under the shower. For me Cowashing helps in moisturizing my "Low Porosity" "TWA" hair and also helps bring to life my curls which I sooooo LOVE! This benefits my hair but this may not benefit everyone's hair so if you did a BC find out first your Porosity to see what products and hair methods will work for your hair! This will be your "Experiment Period!"

2 Weeks Post BC
Already I see my hair getting thicker and the curl pattern is starting to form. I'm enjoying the stages of my hair already! The best thing about being a Natural TWA is it doesn't take that long to wash your hair and you can just wake up and spray your hair with water then GO! I'm loving it! :)
