Protein treatments are recommended in the HHJ world, especially when we want to repair our damaged hair or strengthen our hair. Did you know that our hair is made up of 88% protein? This protein is known as Keratin. When hair is straightened chemically the bonds from the protein's makeup is broken which causing the hair to get weak. That's why for those who relax their hair it is
important to do a protein treatment. Protein treatments aren't done only for those with relaxed hair but for those who have their hair natural as well. The most effective protein treatment is Hair mayonnaise which contain the best protein for our hair "Eggs" that usually stops hair breakage quickly. Usually using an egg treatment it is applied to the hair and covered with a plastic cap for about an hour. But it depends on the type of protein treatment you use, like other protein treatments may need less time. Depending on how damaged or often you relax your hair a protein treatment can be used every 2-3 weeks. Now people who have protein sensitive hair may not take too well to the protein treatments since their hair manufactures enough protein on its own. Also too much use of protein treatments can cause breakage so make sure you don't use it daily or frequently.
